Protection of the Customer's IP while
Neev is engaged in a development relationship with them is one of the
cornerstones of our operating ethos. Neev's Management team considers
IP protection an implicit and integral part of the offering that we
place/propose to the customers.
To ensure the
comprehensive protection of our customers IP we follow these best
practices
1. Non Disclosure Agreement Neev
signs an NDA with the prospective client at the initial stages of
talks with the client so as to maintain full confidentiality of the
information being exchanged. As part of its HR policies Neev also
assures that its employees are legally bonded to protect our
customers IP.
2. IP protection clauses in the Work Contract / Master Services
Agreement Neev ensures that the Contract that is signed upon award of
work to us contains the IP protection clauses as specified by the
customer and also the governing law and the jurisdiction of the same
being the one specified by the customer
3. Network Security
Neev ensures that the IP of the client ( code, documents, other
artefacts) are secure and not susceptible to electronic theft. Our
System Administrators ensure regular monitoring and detection of any
such attempts. Only personnel authorized to access this information
are able to view / work with the artefacts.
4.Code
Security Source code and other artefacts are protected through our
version control systems access to which is only through a secure
HTTPS link and individual passwords. The version control system is
configured to grant access to only relevant areas of the source tree
even for personnel in the same project / team.
The back
up policies ensure that the artefacts are recoverable in the face of
man made / natural disasters. On the behest of the client we
also erase the code from our systems once our engagement is over. The
client is handed over all the relevant artefacts in a suitable media
and in a predecided and documented format.
5. Physical
Security Round the clock security is provided by a certified
independent agency to ensure safety of the premises. Developers
belonging to different teams are logistically segregated from each
other for all aspects.
